Washoe County deputies say they want to talk to the tipster who may have information in the ongoing Kenyon Wilson homicide case.Â
Detectives say new information was recently uncovered that could corroborate the tipster's information. Because of the case trajectory, detective say they hope anyone who called the anonymous tipline since the incident will call Washoe County Sheriff's Office.Â
The investigation began Sunday, October 20, 2019, when Kenyon Wilson’s car was found near the Moon Rocks recreation area off Winnemucca Ranch Road north of Spanish Springs. The dark blue 2004 Infiniti coupe with black front rims and silver rear rims had been heavily damaged by fire.
After several days of searching by deputies, Search and Rescue volunteers, and the RAVEN helicopter, the Sheriff’s Office received information on Friday, October 25, that human remains had been discovered in a remote area that were later identified by the Washoe County coroner as Wilson.
Authorities say the exact cause of death is still under investigation.
Anyone with any information is urged to contact WCSO at (775) 328-3320.Â
