Douglas County Board of Commissioners Install 'In God We Trust' in Board Chamber

The Douglas County Board of County Commissioners installed an "In God We Trust" display in the Board Chamber on December 10. 

The County Commissioners approved the resolution supporting the display in October 2019. 

"In these turbulent and troubling times, it's only fitting that we recognize and fortify the very principle upon which our country was founded," said Vice Chairman Larry Walsh. Walsh introduced the idea to the board and chose the design. 

Commissioner Elect Mark Gardner raised over $500 for the funding for the display. YESCO, LLC designed the display and includes the Douglas County logo. No public funds were used.
