The Douglas County Sheriff's Office (DCSO) says crews responded to reports of a man with a gun on Thursday.
Officials said it happened in the area of Centennial Drive in Genoa, Nevada.
They said residents in the area received Reverse 911 alerts telling them to shelter in place at the time.
DCSO said the incident has been resolved and there are no threats to the community.
