An investigation is underway after a driver hit a tree on Longley Lane and Maestro Drive in Reno early Thursday afternoon.
Once fire crews cut the driver out of the car, he was then taken to an area hospital with injuries.Â
The roads in the area have since reopened.
The Reno Police Department says the City of Reno Public Works crew is on scene clearing the damaged tree from the shoulder. Drivers are asked to use caution in the area.
Officials said the driver was issued a citation for the crash.
