Eastbound Plumb Lane is closed at Plumas while Reno Fire crews work on a structure fire. There are police at Watt and Plumas, diverting people from the area. The house is located west of Lakeside Drive.
Crews quickly knocked down the fire in an attic and interior of a home on Plumb Lane Sunday afternoon.
Reno Fire tells us the fire started in the basement, climbed up walls and reached into the attic. When they arrived on scene, the fire was engulfed in attic. They had to take out one of the walls to reach the attic. One tree is burned and there is smoke damage in the attic.Â
The house was vacant. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
The area between Watt and Lakeside may be closed for the next couple hours.
