The Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada announced Wednesday that four new companies are coming to northern Nevada, bringing in about 600 new jobs to our area.

EDAWN says more than 600 jobs will be created including blockchain software development, business development, engineering, marketing, warehouse operations, career consulting, and more.

Within the four companies, three of them are relocating their corporate headquarters to our area. 

Discover Podium

Discover Podium is a technology-driven SAAs company whose platform is dedicated to delivering career advancement solutions for leaders in transition. The company expects to double its staff over the next year and is projected to reach 300 employees over the next five years at an average wage of $80,000. Unstoppable Domains

Unstoppable Domains is a U.S. startup, launching domain names on blockchain technology. The domain names can be used for both payments and websites. The startup is backed by one of the leading U.S. venture capital firms, Draper Associates and is an entry point for the emerging decentralized web, the next evolution of the internet.  The company plans to hire upwards of 70 employees to staff the new office in Reno and is currently hiring.

The new Reno distribution facility will have 50 employees at build-out and is expected to be operational in September.

theBalm says it is committed to creating premium cosmetics at an accessible price, since 2004. The company is relocating its corporate headquarters from California to Reno with plans to fill 200 positions at its new distribution facility and has a cap ex investment of approximately $5,000,000.
