Lyon County says a house fire killed one person early Saturday morning on Nugget Lane in Dayton, Nevada. 

Lyon County officials say Central Lyon Fire responded to the fire at about 1:00 a.m. on January 11.

They say the home was a single family residence; two other people were able to make it out of the home on their own with minimal injuries.

Lyon County officials say the fire is being investigated by Central Lyon Fire and the Lyon County Sheriff's Office. They say the State Fire Marshal has also been notified about the fire.

Lyon County officials also say one firefighter was injured fighting the fire and has since been released.

Units from Storey County, North Lyon Fire and units from Eastfork helped fight the house fire.
