The Reno Police Department is investigating a crash involving a Washoe County Sheriff's Office patrol vehicle.
It happened just before 10:45 p.m. Saturday on Sun Valley Boulevard, south of Second Avenue.
Initial investigation shows that a WCSO Deputy was responding to an emergency call with lights and sirens on when another vehicle crossed several lanes and hit the front of the patrol vehicle.
The patrol vehicle rolled several times into the parking lot of a nearby business.Â
The deputy was able to exit his vehicle and immediately start rendering aid to the second driver, identified as a 23-year-old woman.
The second driver was taken to the hospital with major injuries and is currently in critical condition.
