Fire crews have put out a brush fire on North Virginia Street near Wellington Way off of Highway 395 in north Reno.
The fire burned one acre and was first reported around 2:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
Fire crews tell us 100 feet of fence burned and one house suffered minimal damage.
NV Energy reports that about 175 customers are without power in that area too. It says damaged equipment is to blame, and restoration is expected by 5 p.m.
The road between Lancaster and North Virginia is closed at this time.
The Reno Fire Department says there were no injuries and the cause is still under investigation.
