Wolf Pack runs away from Huskies in 2nd Half en route to 81-62 win

Nevada Wolf Pack volleyball senior Madison Foley has earned a spot on this year’s Mountain West Global Challenge All-Star Volleyball Team.

 

Foley will travel to Europe this summer as part of the twelve person team. Assistant coach Megan Burton will also go with the team as one of its coaches. The team will first head to Maribor, Slovenia for several days of training and matches against various national teams from the region. The, on July 10-15, the all-star team will compete in the 2017 European Global Challenge in Pula, Croatia. Foley will be competing against some of the best junior national and club teams in Europe. Graduate Madison Morell traveled with the team last year, along with graduate assistant Vish Djurdjevic.

 

“This is quite the honor for our team,” said head coach Lee Nelson. “Two years in a row now we’ve been able to represent the Pack on an international level. And it’s such a neat experience for our student-athletes and coaches.”

 

In her junior year, Foley, a Dayton, Nev. native, averaged 2.31 digs and 2.79 kills per set. She was one of the best servers in the entire conference with 0.34 aces per set.
