The Food Bank of Northern Nevada is hosting a Feed NV, and the Sierra drive-through food drive collection event on Friday, May 29 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center parking lot, located at 4590 S. Virginia Street in Reno.

The organization has suspended regular food drive operations since mid-March for safety and logistics concerns due to COVID-19. With the increased level in need for emergency food services along with supply chain delays, the Food Bank of Northern Nevada decided to also gather food for families in the 90,000 square mile service area.

There are four categories of food that are urgently needed. The Food Bank of Northern Nevada is asking for the following non-perishable, non-expired canned food categories at the drive:

- Entrées (Soups, Chili’s, etc.)

- Protein (Tuna, Chicken, Beans)

- Canned fruit

- Canned vegetables
