What a community we live in! That's what first graders at one Reno elementary school are learning about.
On Wednesday, Kristen Remington was invited to speak to nearly 100 first graders about how Channel 2 News impacts our community, too. From informing Northern Nevadans about fires and floods - to our food drive, blood drive and Someones 2 Know….they were eager to learn what it takes to be a news reporter, too.Â
One student even got to practice interviewing her teacher about what it takes to be a community leader in the classroom.
"Teachers have to go to college and they have to have a lot of love for all of their students like you guys."
