The Nevada Department of Corrections says an inmate has died at the Northern Nevada Correctional Center in Carson City.
Authorities say 73-year-old Lawrence Meador died Thursday at the Regional Medical Facility.
Meador was committed from Churchill County on May 15, 1984, and was serving life for sexual assault, victim under 16.
An autopsy is being scheduled to determine the cause of death.
Next of kin have been notified.
