Inmate Dies at Northern Nevada Correctional Center

The Nevada Department of Corrections says an inmate died Thursday morning at the Northern Nevada Correctional Center in Carson City.

Authorities say 54-year-old Michael L. Castle died in the Regional Medical Facility inside the correctional center. 

Castle was committed from Washoe County serving 120 months to Life with the possibility of Parole for Lewdness with a Minor.  

Castle arrived at the NDOC on April 11, 2018. 

The Carson City Sheriff’s Office Coroner responded. 

An autopsy is being scheduled to determine the cause of death.

Family members were notified.
