Investigators are combing through debris at a downtown Las Vegas apartment building where six people were killed and 13 injured in a fire over the weekend.
City officials said at a news conference Monday morning that investigators were looking into the cause and spread of the fire, along with claims from some residents that smoke or fire alarms weren't working properly and that residents had no heat and used stoves to stay warm.
The city Fire Marshal says there have been past code complaints at the Alpine Motel Apartments but all had been resolved quickly.
