The Alienstock festival could attract thousands of extraterrestrial fans to Nevada for a second consecutive year if county commissioners grant permission.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports the owners of restaurant and motel Little A’Le’Inn in Rachel have announced plans to host Alienstock this September.Â
Last year’s event came about after a viral internet meme urged people to storm the secretive Air Force base known as Area 51.
Alienstock featured music acts and food vendors and had a peak attendance of 3,000 visitors.
The Lincoln County Commission is expected to consider the new Alienstock request at a future meeting.
The Little A'Le'Inn in Rachel says this year's Alienstock will be held on September 10-12, 2020.Â
No other information was immediately available on the business' website.
Rachel is the closest habitation to the U.S. Air Force Base within the Nevada Test and Training Range long-rumored to contain evidence of UFOs and extraterrestrial life.
