Acro Enso is a movement arts studio for acrobatics and aerial arts, in Downtown Reno, focusing on a mind-body connection.

"We are a multi-movement facility," said owner Keisha Thrift. "We focus on partner acrobatics, dance, Cyr wheel, aerial arts, and anything that will get you moving. It keeps your mind busy, keeps your creativity flows going, and keeps you healthy."

It's a unique space on 4th Street, and they welcome all ages and abilities.

"It's been a great response," said owner Cyrus Luciano. "Our philosophy here is that we believe movement is really important, but we also want to make it fun. We like to really emphasize fun activities, fun movement, to engage the body and the mind."

He's says a lot of people that walk in the door are surprised by what they can accomplish.

"That's one of our favorite things is when we hear people say, I never thought I could do that," he said. "And we hear that often and it's one of the greatest things."

This weekend they're lending the space to local Shamanic Happiness Coach Matthew Embry-McClain to reinforce that mind-body connection.

"You have to be called to be a shaman," McClain said. "And a shaman is someone who feels a calling to help in the community, to create more balance. We're basically an intermediary between the seen world and the unseen world."

The focus this weekend will be on a finding a better path going into the new year.

"The ultimate goal is to realign your path and free you of what is in your way right now," McClain said. This workshop is to help you align for an entire year, for creation of what your internal calling is here to do."

Everyone who attends that workshop will get a free month here at Acro Enso.
