Officials said the Sparks Police Department was told about a ten-year-old child who was in the hospital suffering from extensive injuries received from dog bites.
They said further information revealed it was from a family pet. Officials said the child received injuries earlier in the month as well.
They said the child underwent surgery to repair internal injuries suffered from the attack on Monday.
The Sparks Police Department said their crews worked with the Washoe County Animal Control and Washoe County Child Protective Services to have the animals removed from the home and maintained by animal control.
Officials said the owner of the animals, Zacchaeus Williams was arrested and charged with child endangerment.
