Reno Police Department says a man has been charged with open murder after a woman was found dead late Tuesday night.

RPD says 48-year-old Robert Jarab was charged with open murder and domestic battery by strangulation after officers were called to the 3200 block of Heights Drive for an unresponsive woman around 10:43 p.m. Tuesday night. 

Officials say first responders were unable to revive the woman, identified as 40-year-old Glenna Withnell of Reno. Washoe County Regional Medical Examiner's Office did not release a cause or manner of death. 

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to call Reno Police at 775-334-2115 or Secret Witness at 322-4900.
