A Nevada man will spend at least five years behind bars after being found guilty of intentionally setting three buildings on fire in downtown Lovelock in November 2019.Â
Authorities say Oscar Yocundo Cruz-Gonzalez was convicted of three counts of First-Degree Arson in January. He was sentenced to a minimum term of 60 months and for a maximum term of 180 months for each count and a restitution payment of $1,039,573.00.
The fire damaged the Pershing Pub, the Treasures Bookstore, and a former law office building. Damage is estimated at $1.9 million.
Investigators say Cruz-Gonzalez intentionally lit the outside of one of the buildings - and then the fire spread to the two other Main Street structures.Â
