After a weeklong jury trial in Washoe County District Court, the District Attorney's Office has secured a conviction in a lewdness with a child case.

Christopher E. Kindler, 43, was found guilty last Friday on 5 counts of lewdness with a child under the age of fourteen and one count of attempted lewdness with a child under the age of fourteen.

Kindler was accused of inappropriate physical contact with 3 male victims ranging in age from 11-12 years old.

Kindler was investigated back in December 2016, when the mother of a 12 year old boy reported disturbing text messages between her son and Kindler. She reported that the messages were sexual in nature and immediately contacted the police.  The child victim was interviewed at the Child Advocacy Center, which lead to two additional victims who were neighbors with Kindler.

The two other boys reported similar inappropriate conduct by Kindler and he was arrested soon after.

Kindler's sentencing is scheduled for June 7, 2018 and will possibly face multiple life sentences.
