Good Evening MHMS Families,

The Washoe County School District received word of positive cases of COVID-19 at Marce Herz Middle School.

Out of an abundance of caution and due to possible exposure, Marce Herz Middle School will temporarily be shifting for full distance learning for all students starting tomorrrow Tuesday, November 10, 2020.  This will allow time for the Washoe County Health District to conduct full contact tracing investigations.  We will notify you when we have been cleared to return to our hybrid schedule.

While on full distance learning, we will be following our regular bell schedule.  There are no A or B students while on full distance learning.  Every student should attend every class on their schedule each day.  Teachers will be contacting your student via Teams with specific information about how to attend class.  Students need to log in and attend their class at the scheduled time in order to be counted present.  I have attached a copy of the bell schedule to the email that accompanies this phone call.  If your student is already on full distance learning, there will be not change to their instruction.

Marce Herz Middle School will still be providing lunches.  These will be available for curbside pickup at the anytime during the two lunches listed on our bell schedule.  No notice is needed.  If you would like lunch for the students in your home, please come to the school at that time and we will have lunches ready.
