After graduating from the Reynolds School of Journalism at the University of Nevada, Reno, Makayla Hardy is proud to be a part of the KTVN family!
Born in Carson City and raised in Reno, Makayla grew up doing theatre her whole life. She studied Drama at Damonte Ranch High School’s Performing Arts Center and has never been one to shy away from stages, cameras, and everything behind the scenes. Initially starting as a major in Theatre, Makayla quickly discovered her new passion with Journalism and decided to create the perfect combo by graduating with two degrees in News Broadcast and Theatre. Much like the work put into a play or movie, she enjoys writing a script, shooting her film, meeting new people, and sharing the story for everyone to see.
Thanks to KTVN, reporting is Makayla’s newest aspiration.
