The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) reports a crash at Pyramid and Prater Ways blocking the intersection on Monday evening.
The Sparks Police Department says a van was going eastbound on Prater Way, while the motorcycle was going westbound.
They said the van cut in front of the motorcycle and that's when the crash happened.
Sparks Police says the motorcyclist suffered a broken arm and facial injuries. The motorcyclist was taken to the hospital with moderate to severe injuries.
Sparks Police said north and south lanes was closed on Pyramid Way, also westbound Prater Way from Pyramid was closed.
They said the roadways has since reopened in all directions.
Sparks Police said the investigation is ongoing.
