Hundreds of Europeans touring the American West and adventurers from around the U.S. are still being drawn to Death Valley National Park despite punishing temperatures blamed for at least one death.

Authorities say the motorcyclist suffered severe bodily injuries including multiple breaks and bone fractures and brain trauma.
The motorcyclist was taken to the hospital, but eventually died.
The motorcycle rider died on scene.
CHP says the motorcyclist failed to safely negotiate a sharp curve in the roadway.
The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and cooperated with law enforcement.
Both drivers and motorcycle riders need to be extra aware of one another while on the roads to help make sure everyone stays safe.
