Mountain West Men's Basketball Player Of The Week

Nevada’s senior guard/forward Jordan Caroline has been awarded the Mountain West Men’s Basketball Player of the Week award for the second time this season, fifth time in his career, for games played through Saturday, Dec. 1. 

 

MEN’S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

JORDAN CAROLINE, NEVADA

Senior, Guard/Forward, Champaign, Illinois / Southern Illinois

•    Helped No. 5/6 Nevada to a pair of road wins against reigning final four participant Loyola Chicago (79-65) and Pac-12 opponent USC (73-61). 

•    Averaged 19.5 points, 8.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists in the two road victories.

•    In the win over USC, Caroline posted his sixth double-double of the season (33rd in his career) with a game-high 24 points and 11 rebounds.  

•    Returned to his home state of Illinois to help lead the Wolf Pack to a 14-point win over Loyola Chicago, tallying 15 points and six rebounds.

•    Over the two contests, Caroline shot 46.9 percent from the field and 40 percent from behind the arc. 

•    Has scored in double figures in all eight games this season.
