There's been a new arrest related to the 9-month-old baby exposed to fentanyl in south Reno earlier this month.
Regional detectives have now arrested 38-year-old Joseph Salemi is being held on multiple drug charges.
Investigators say they pulled him over during a traffic stop and located over 24 grams of fentanyl and methamphetamine in the car.
Investigators believe he was planning to sell the drugs to raise bail for the baby's mother, 30-year-old Elizabeth Irvin. Â
She's been in jail since the baby was exposed to fentanyl, and Irvin also overdosed while in jail.Â
It's unclear whether or not Salemi is related to the child.Â
Salemi was booked into the jail and charged with two felony counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, one felony count of Possession of a Controlled Substance for Sales, and a misdemeanor count of Displaying a License Plate Improperly.
