A bear was seen near the Dayton Valley Golf Club.
The videos were captured by a security camera just before 2 a.m. on Saturday morning and posted to the Ring Neighbors app by Dr. Ken Salvo III.Â
The videos, which can be seen below, show the bear crossing a driveway and then climbing a fence.Â
BearWise, an education and outreach program that is supported and funded by wildlife agencies including the Nevada Department of Wildlife, wants to remind residents how they can stay safe at home while living in an area near bears.
It says you should never feed or approach bears, because it will encourage them to return to neighborhoods, as well as put your safety at risk.
You should make sure to secure your food, trash and recycling, as well as remove bird feeders when bears are active, since both can attract bears to your home. You should also never leave pet food outdoors.
Clean and store your grills and smokers after each use and secure them in a place that bears can't access.
Finally, you should alert your neighbors to any bear activity you see in the community.
