The California Highway Patrol has shared news of a boulder falling onto the road on westbound Interstate 80.
According to a post on Instagram, a report came in around 4:25 p.m. that a rock had rolled onto westbound I-80, at Farad.
The rock had initially caused a traffic crash, though no injuries were reported.
Westbound traffic in the area on I-80 is narrowed down to one lane with one-way traffic control in place.
Officials say to expect heavy delays while crews work to safely remove the boulder and any debris.
