Elko City Councilman Jim Conner has died.
In a post on Facebook, the Elko Police Department called him a dedicated public servant and a valued member of the community.
Conner also spent many years as a court bailiff.
"Jim’s commitment to the citizens of Elko and his unwavering support of local law enforcement made a lasting impact," said the EPD in their post. "He will be greatly missed by the Elko Police Department and by the entire community he cared for so deeply."
Elko Police offered their condolences to Conner's family, friends, and everyone whose lives he impacted.
