March is Multiple Sclerosis Awareness Month. MS is a chronic, often disabling autoimmune disease that impacts the central nervous system. And, since a majority of the estimated one million Americans with this disorder are women, many patients may be getting a double whammy of symptoms. In today’s Health Minute, Mandy Gaither explains how menopause can mimic MS and why doctors say knowing which is to blame for a certain symptom can help bring relief to women who have both.
