A northern California fireworks facility exploded on Tuesday in Yolo County, causing multiple fires.
It happened around 5:50 p.m. in the town of Esparto, according to reporting from CBS Sacramento.
Several buildings caught fire due to the explosion, with multiple grass fires starting and a total combined burn area of around 80 acres.
Evacuations in the area were ordered by Yolo County officials.
Streets around the evacuation area and leading to the facility have been closed.
CBS Sacramento spoke to people who said they had loved ones they thought were inside the facility at the time of the explosion, but they had not been able to contact them.
Law enforcement officials did not comment on whether there were any injuries or deaths when asked by reporters during a press conference.
Some residents shared that windows in their homes were rattled by at least two explosions, while some said their homes shook like they were in an earthquake, with explosions going off seemingly every five minutes.
