The California Highway Patrol (CHP) is asking for your help finding a man who fled the scene of a motorcycle crash, leaving a woman unconscious at the scene.
CHP says that on Saturday, July 5 at around 1:30 p.m., a man was seen fighting with his female passenger outside the Sierraville Service & County Store.
Camera footage obtained by CHP shows the man inside the store buying alcohol with cash just before the fight.
The pair got on a motorcycle and left going north on SR-89.
The motorcycle, which was seen driving at high speeds, left the road and hit a dirt berm, ejecting both riders from the bike.
The woman was found unconscious and left in the ditch where the crash happened; the man fled the scene with the assistance of some other motorcycle riders.
A good Samaritan saw the whole incident and called 911.
The woman suffered major injuries and was flown to a hospital in Reno and remains in critical condition.
During an investigation, officials have learned that the man's name is Tim, and the insignia on his vest shows that he represents the Silver Barons Motorcycle Club out of Virginia City.
Tim was last seen with five other motorcyclists, including two female passengers on the backs of two of the other bikes.
