A juvenile has been arrested after allegedly making threats toward Portola High School.
The Plumas County Sheriff’s Office says they were notified late Thursday night of alleged threats involving possible gun violence directed at Portola High School.
During their investigation, they identified a juvenile suspect, who lives outside of Plumas County. The unidentified suspect was contacted and subsequently taken into custody for making alleged criminal threats.
Deputies say, “Portola High School administration was promptly informed of the situation. After evaluating the circumstances and confirming there was no ongoing threat to students or staff, the school remained open and in session for Friday, January 16.”
The investigation remains ongoing.
