Adam Mayberry hosted his campaign kickoff and fundraiser event Thursday night to launch his campaign for Sparks City Council Ward 4.
Mayberry says the four pillars of his campaign include economic development, public safety, maintaining and improving infrastructure, and community wellness.
"Over the course of several years, there's been issues the city has addressed properly, but really essentially in a short-term fix," said Mayberry. "So, we can't look two years out anymore, we really need to look out a few decades and fix these systemic problems once and for all."
Mayberry is the current communications manager for Truckee Meadows Fire & Rescue and is set to retire in August of next year.
