To help voters engage throughout Early Voting and on Election Day, the Secretary of State’s Office is launching additional tools for voters to find polling locations and access important election information.
ELECTION DAY
- Tuesday, November 5. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
SAME-DAY VOTER REGISTRATION
- Voters can register to vote and update their voter registration anytime online at VOTE.NV.gov or in-person during Early Voting or on Election Day at a polling location
- October 22 is the last day to update your voter registration and be mailed a ballot
MAIL BALLOTS
- All active registered voters will be sent a mail ballot, unless they have opted out. To be counted, mail ballots must be postmarked on or before Election Day on November 5 and received by the county election official no later than November 9

- Voters can utilize this interactive map to find Early Voting polling locations, Election Day polling locations and official mail ballot drop box locations
- Tribal voters can also utilize this map to find voting locations on tribal lands

- The Secretary of State’s Office is launching a new dedicated phone number to make it easier for voters to remember and reach the Secretary of State’s Elections Division

EXTENDED CUSTOMER SERVICE HOURS
- Voters will be able to reach the Secretary of State’s Office before and after business hours during Early Voting and on Election Day.
SAMPLE BALLOTS
- Voters can view their sample ballots by visiting VOTE.NV.gov and clicking “View My Existing Voter Registration” to log into your Voter File and view your sample ballot.
EXTENDED HOURS AT THE DEPARTMENT OF MOTOR VEHICLES
- From Monday, October 21 through Saturday, November 2, and on Tuesday, November 5 (Election Day), the DMV will extend its hours and offer walk-in appointments to citizens who need identification so they can register to vote through Same-Day Voter Registration. Learn more here.
OFFICIAL TEXT MESSAGES
- The Secretary of State’s Office is sending voters text messages to engage voters with trusted, factual information regarding the election. Text messages will come from the number 25486 and be available in English and Spanish. This number will also be used for rapid response communications should any become necessary.
- Third-Party Text Messages:Voters may continue to get text messages from third-party organizations regarding the election. If a voter is concerned about the message or has questions, they should reach out to the Secretary of State’s Office at (775) 687-VOTE ((775) 687-8683) or nvelect@sos.nv.gov.
BALLOT TRACKING SERVICES
- Voters can track the status of their mail ballot through the messaging service, BallotTrax, provided by the Secretary of State’s Office. After signing up, voters can get updates via email, phone call or text message.
LANGUAGE ACCESS SERVICES
- The Secretary of State’s Office has expanded language access services, including a phone line that will connect them to an interpreter with access to more than 200 languages. The service can be used onsite at polling places or to answer questions as they prepare to vote.
EDUCATIONAL ELECTION VIDEOS
- In partnership with Vegas PBS, the Secretary of State’s Office launched a nonpartisan voter education video campaign, “Hey Nevada! Your Vote. Your Future.” The video series to informs voters of how and when to vote, explains the electoral process and breaks down the roles of different offices on the ballot.
