Saturday marks the one-year anniversary of a Care Flight plane crashing in Stagecoach, killing five people.
In honor of the anniversary REMSA is pausing all Care Flight transports for 24 hours.
The pause includes Care Flight's helicopter service, its fixed wing service and its Care Ground Transport service.
The pause started at 7 a.m. on Saturday and will conclude at 7 a.m. on Sunday.
REMSA and the City of Sparks are asking people to observe a moment of silence at 9:14 p.m. on Saturday to honor and remember those who were lost.
Ground ambulance service will be available 24/7 throughout the pause.
Other nearby air ambulance companies, like Cal-Star and Classic Air, will also be available to help during the pause.
