Update, June 9:

Over the next week, gas line replacement will continue on State Route 28.

Construction will begin at 7 p.m. on Sunday, June 9 and continue until Friday, June 14 at noon.

One-way traffic control will be in place between Ridgewood Road and Jeffrey Lane, as well as between Agate Road and Carnelian Wood Avenue, and between Chinquapin Drive and Lardin Way.

Drivers should expect delays of up to 30 minutes between Tahoe City and Kings Beach.

Update, May 26:

Gas line replacement will continue on State Route 28 in North Lake Tahoe.

Construction will pause on Monday, May 27 due to the Memorial Day holiday.

However, residents can expect to see one-way traffic control between Mackinaw Road and Rocky Ridge Road from 10 p.m. Tuesday until noon on Friday.

There will also be one-way traffic control between Chinquapin Drive and Lardin Way at the same times.

Update, May 19:

Caltrans has released more information regarding gas line replacements on State Route 28 in North Lake Tahoe.

There will be one-way traffic control at Mackinaw Road in Tahoe City from May 19 at 7 p.m. until May 24 at 5 a.m.

There will also be one-way traffic control between Grove Street and Rocky Ridge Road between May 19 at 7 p.m. and May 24 at 5 a.m.

There will be rolling closures on eastbound State Route 28 between Chinquapin Drive and the State Route 267 junction from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday through Wednesday.

According to Caltrans, Southwest Gas and Q&D Construction will be replacing gas lines along State Route 28 in north Lake Tahoe over the next week.

Due to the construction, drivers may see delays of up to 30 minutes.

There will be one-way traffic control between Dollar Drive and Lakewood Lane from Sunday, May 12 at 7 p.m. until Friday, May 17 at noon.

There will also be one-way traffic control between Jackpine Street and Rocky Ridge Road at the same times.
