The Washoe County coroner has identified the man who died in a police pursuit in Douglas County on Tuesday.Â
The ME's office says 43-year-old John Schulze of Gardnerville died in the late afternoon pursuit in the Gardnerville Ranchos area.Â
Douglas County Sheriff's Deputies were chasing the car Schulze was a passenger in - and they say the driver was wanted out of Oregon.
During the chase, the suspect collided with another car at Tillman Lane and Patricia Drive where their car rolled causing the passenger to be ejected.
Schulze died on scene.Â
The driver, 31-year-old Blake Edward Thacker was hospitalized for injuries and then booked into the Douglas County Jail.Â
The investigation is being conducted by Nevada Highway Patrol and the Carson City Sheriff’s Office.
