Drivers traveling along Keystone Avenue and Putnam Drive should expect some changes this fall as NV Energy begins work on its natural gas system.

The project is scheduled to begin September 21 and continue through December, weather and field conditions permitting.

The work will include installing a new natural gas main along Keystone Avenue between Coleman Drive and Putnam Drive, with additional work on Putnam Drive from Keystone Avenue to Cobblestone Court.

Traffic will stay open in both directions during construction, but drivers may see temporary changes to lane configurations and traffic patterns as crews make room for the work. No full road closures are anticipated at this time.

Drivers are encouraged to allow extra travel time, follow posted traffic control devices and road signs, and use caution while traveling through the work zone.

NV Energy said the project is part of its ongoing investment in the local natural gas system. The work is intended to improve reliability, increase system capacity, and support current and future energy needs in the area.
