A Nevada teenager is dead after a collision on State Route 227 near Spring Creek in Elko County last Friday morning.
Nevada State Police say the crash happened around 4 a.m. on SR 227 (Lamoille Highway) at the intersection with Lower Lamoille Road, north of the Spring Creek roundabout.
NSP says 18-year-old Alexiss Adams was driving a 2014 Subaru Outback station wagon on Lower Lamoille Road towards the intersection while a Kentworth service truck was heading north, also nearing the same intersection.
NSP says Adams failed to yield to the truck while making a left turn onto SR 227. That's when NSP says the Kentworth tried to avoid the Subaru but ended up colliding with the station wagon.
The Spring Creek teen died on scene, while the Kenworth truck driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries.Â
The crash remains under investigation.Â
