Around 2 a.m. on Sunday, North Lyon County Fire Protection District firefighters were called to a fire at a home on Ft. Bridger Road.
The fire was contained to the outside and the attic of the garage and was knocked down by the homeowner before crews arrived.
The fire did not spread to the home.
According to firefighters, a pan of hot barbecue coals outside the garage seemed to be the cause of the fire.
