Elko Police need your help finding two people in an attempted armed robbery case.

On the morning of Monday, October 8th an Elko city employee was unlocking a maintenance shed in the cemetery when they were approached by a man and woman demanding money.

The man was holding a knife and when he advanced on the employee the employee punched him in the face, leading the man and woman to flee, according to a post on the Elko Police Department Facebook page.

The man is described as Hispanic, around 5 feet six or seven inches tall, wearing a black coat, a face mask and winter clothing. He was also carrying a backpack.

The woman is described as being in her 30s, white, around 200 pounds, wearing a thick blue coat and winter clothing.

Elko Police released a photo of a man they say may be related to the incident, and they are asking people to help identify him so he can be questioned in regards to the crime.
