As the middle of the week rolls around, also known as "hump day", the Feed the Camel food truck event is kicking off its season on a hot Wednesday night.

Organizers told us this is the original Hump Day food truck event, held every week at the McKinley Arts Center.

If you find yourself hungry on a Wednesday night, you'll have plenty of options, with flavors from all over the world.

Melissa Williams, Event Producer for Feed the Camel, tells us, "You hit that middle of the week slump. You're like, 'Ahh, I don't want to cook dinner. It's starting to get warmer. I know I don't like to turn my oven on. Come down to the McKinnley Center. Every Wednesday in the summer, we have shade, we have parking, we have fantastic food that rotates and is curated to so many different palates."

The event features fundraisers, live music, and a little food competition here and there between the food trucks.

Williams says, "We've grown and thrived from just a little event with four, five, or six food trucks to right now this year we have a rotation of 20 to 30 savory trucks, dessert trucks, cocktails, and baked goods desserts."

The event is still going strong after 12 years. The last day for the season will be sometime in August for their big Burger Showdown to help support the Food Bank of Northern Nevada.
