Firefighters with the Sparks Fire Department are responding to a brush fire that broke out near eastbound I-80 and the Nugget Avenue off-ramp.
Two engines and one battalion chief are responding.
Lots of smoke can be seen in the area.
The Sparks Fire Department says forward progress has been stopped and no injuries have been reported.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
