The Reno Fire Department responded to a call of an apartment fire this afternoon at 700 E. Peckham Lane.
The crews were dispatched to the Village of the Pines Apartments at around 4:00 p.m. for the report.
According to fire officials, smoke filled the apartment after a fire started in the kitchen.
Fire staff was able to get the fire under control and limited to the apartment where it started.
Two people have been displaced as a result of the fire.
The cause is currently under investigation.
