Fire crews with the Winnemucca Rural Fire District (WRFD) teamed with personnel from the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) to tackle a brush fire on Friday.
According to a recent Facebook post from the WRFD, crews from the district responded to the fire on Friday afternoon, which was in the area of State Highway 49, also known as Jungo Road.
The blaze reached a size of around 5 acres, and crews were able to quickly get a containment line set up around the fire.
BLM crews then arrived on scene to assist and help with monitoring and mop up work.
Officials say that the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
