The seventh annual Headlock on Hunger Event is raising money for the Food Bank of Northern Nevada on Saturday, May 11.
The event is a family-friendly professional wrestling event.Â
Headlock on Hunger was founded by Cory Dayton, a father who has been through the experience of not being able to feed his children.
The event will include six wrestling matches, a raffle and face painting for children.Â
Doors will open at 6:30 p.m., and the event will begin at 7 p.m. at Reed High School, 1350 Baring Boulevard in Sparks.Â
Tickets are available at this link. You can buy a general admission ticket for $5, or a VIP ticket for $20.Â
A VIP ticket will get you early admission at 6 p.m., a meet a greet with the wrestlers, including photo ops and autographs, and first choice of seating.
"We are excited to continue our mission of combating child hunger in the Truckee Meadows while remaining an affordable alternative to the typical family outing," said Cory Dayton. "Each ticket sold and every dollar raised directly supports the Food Bank of Northern Nevada's efforts to ensure no child goes to bed hungry."
