Many of us are dealing with seasonal allergies right now.
Doctors say allergies can often be confused for other viruses or can lead to issues such as sinus infections.
I met with the Division Chief at Renown Primary Care, Marie McCormack, and I was told that Coronavirus has been coming back around along with the common cold, and allergies can mimic the same symptoms as both of these.
So, it's important to look at the symptoms you're having and ask are they persistent?
McCormack says that one way to tell if it's something more than just allergies is to check your temperature.
If you have a fever, it's likely something bigger.
If you don't have a fever, you could try some allergy remedies such as nasal sprays, nasal rinses, and over the counter allergy medications.
McCormack says the best remedy is to hydrate, up your vitamin C intake, and get good rest because it boosts your immune system and reduces your chances of getting sick in the first place.Â
