On Saturday a local artist, Connor Fogel, continued painting a community art piece on the University of Nevada, Reno campus.
Connor has had to overcome a lot more challenges than the average person after he was diagnosed with cerebral palsy.Â
Our reporter Andi Cassinari did a Someone 2 Know on him two years ago.
Connor not only is an artist, but a skier and a bodybuilder.
This new mural is the largest one he's done by himself, and he found a specific inspiration for it.
"There was this fun picture I saw, and I was like this would be perfect for this wall," Fogal said.
He especially loves this particular painting as he says he can be more artistic and freeform with it.
With the thousands of people that walk through UNR, Fogal knows that this is a huge accomplishment.
"Knowing that my work is on the University campus, that is the best thing I could ever ask for," Fogal said.
Connor has four siblings and says his parents never treated him differently from them.
"I've done so much in my life, but my brother and my sisters are like 'what the heck? Why can't we do that.'"
With Connor having cerebral palsy, he says he hopes for the same treatment from others.
"We just want friends and people to talk to us like we're normal," he said.
While painting, Connor likes to listen to music.
He says it varies depending on the style of the piece, but he says Bob Marley, Reggae and Rock and Roll are the ones he turns to most.
